Established in 1967, we are celebrating 45 years of snowmobiling history. The Wauconda Snowmobile Club is one of the original snowmobile clubs in Illinois. The Club is involved in the two local trail associations, the Northeastern Illinois Association of Snowmobile Clubs and the McHenry County Snowmobile Association. The Club is also a member of the Illinois Association of Snowmobile Clubs.
You don’t have to snowmobile in Illinois to benefit from joining an area Club—numerous trips are planned out-of-state, they work closely with the area snowmobile dealers, teach snowmobile safety classes, and are also active with our legislators to make sure there are places to ride and snowmobiles to ride on.
Since it’s inception in 1967, The Wauconda Snowmobile Club has seen numerous changes in the sport and in our community. The Club continues to be involved in numerous community activities and enthusiastically promotes safe, recreational snowmobiling through monthly meetings, email alerts, advocacy, social activity, and support of snowmobile safety classes. The Club meets on the second Wednesday of the month October through March.
